With potential for future career progression into a Leadership role, initially this will be a hands-on position. Daily work involves preventative maintenance and break down assistance alongside our experienced Operators and Electricians. Each work day has a degree of mechanical maintenance variety and problem solving involved.
To be successful you will:
Hold a NZ recognised trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering
Have 5+ years’ experience as a trade fitter, preferably in fitting and machining, be skilled in hydraulics, pneumatics, fabrication, bearing fitment, setup and alignment
Understand mechanical drawings and deliver high quality work
Have a demonstrated work history of being a team player
Have a ‘Safety first’ approach to planning and carrying out non-routine tasks
Ideally, have had experience in heavy industrial work some knowledge of timber processing
Hours of work are Friday to Monday 6:00am – 4:30pm.
The successful candidate will receive a competitive remuneration package including competitive base pay plus tool allowance and specific weekend shift pay benefits.
A full pre-employment medical and drug test will be required.
